By submitting your outfit photos for a contest, you give Now THAT I Can Do, Mama full rights and permission to use them in a blog post and/or Pinterest and social media.

Summary

These contests are tied to blog posts that everyone can benefit from!

Every month or so a clothing piece challenge will be announced (separate from the weekly style challenges on Frumpy Fighters, but often overlapping). The challenge will be to style a clothing piece in the most frump-free, mom-friendly and on-trend way you can. You’ll submit pictures of your best looks.

The best looks will be selected to be used in a roundup blog post on the blog (www.nowthaticando.com/home) demonstrating “X number of ways to style ____ [said item]”. And there are three prizes!

In the simplest of terms, this is a contest to see who is most creative in styling the specified pieces of clothing. But most importantly, it encourages you to work with what you have in your wardrobe while earning funds to spend on what you still need to achieve a fabulous mom wardrobe.

Prizes

3 lucky winners will each win a $20 Amazon gift card and be featured in a blog post about the topic.

Everyone else whose photo(s) are chosen will also be featured in the blog post and, if desired, photo credit with a link to their website or business profile (optional).

Guidelines

  1. Check out the current contests below. Style 1-5 outfits using the challenge for each contest in which you’re participating.

  2. Gals of ALL shapes and sizes are encouraged to submit their outfit photos! This will help make our feature roundup post truly helpful to everyone.

  3. Tips for outfits:

    1. Clothes should fit you well (the #1 rule of frumpy fighting!)

    2. They must be mom friendly!

    3. Feel free to style a look or two in your bare feet, cute socks or slippers… because that’s what moms wear when they’re at home anyway. Mix in some looks with shoes.

    4. PREGNANT LADIES WELCOME!! Actually, you’ll have a higher likelihood of getting picked ;) We want to feature maternity looks on the blog!

  4. If possible, have a family member or friend take the photos of your outfits so that pictures are straight on and in bright light (see example below). Outdoor light (shaded) is excellent as well. Mirror selfies are also acceptable as long as it is clear and in good light.

    1. Don’t forget to clear the clutter in your background!

    2. You can use the free app “A Color Story” to brighten your photos if needed (avoid filters as they distort colors; use their manual adjustments to adjust just the brightness and exposure).

  5. Submit your entry for each contest using the form links provided for each contest below.

  6. Please note we may not choose to feature your outfit. If we do not, feel free to ask for feedback on what you can do to improve for next time. Then keep trying on future contests!

Outfit pictures should be straight on, in plenty of natural light (indoors or outdoors). Mirror selfies are okay as long as your outfit is super clear and in good light. Don’t forget to clear the clutter in your surroundings!
